SEATTLE – Servco Pacific Insurance (SPI) Seattle teamed up with Vision House for their annual Giving Tree Project, where 49 SPI employees were able to deliver $1,280 in gift cards and monetary donations.
A festive garland was hung at the front desk of the Seattle office in their new 800 Fifth Avenue office, where employees were encouraged to take tags from the garland, which contained a suggested dollar amount and store such as Costco, Safeway, Dollar Tree, etc. Most of the tags ranged from $10 to $25. Employees then purchased the gift cards and either dropped them off at the front desk, or mailed them directly.
Vision House is a Seattle-based nonprofit agency that provides housing, support services and child care for homeless families with children. Since its founding in 1990, Vision House has assisted more than 1,000 people in achieving financial stability, increasing employability, mastering life skills, and has had an impressive 90% success rate in keeping mom’s and their children off the street.
With units being built in Renton and Shoreline—including Jacobs Well in Shoreline, which took six years to build with no debt, no government funding, and only volunteers—meaningful donations such as those collected by the Giving Tree Program allow Vision House to continue their life-changing efforts in the community.
Supporting this organization is one way that SPI Seattle has gone the extra mile to build a better community in the place they do business.
